Contract Awarded for Library Demolition and Parking Lot Construction - Tuesday, January 24, 2012

January 24, 2012; Resolution NO. 013 (2012) was adopted by City Council, authorizing the award of contract for the Library Demolition and Parking Lot Construction Project to Ricky Slade Construction, Inc., of Bridgeton, New Jersey in the amount of $200,806.50.  Bids for this project were received and accepted by authorization of Resolution NO. 178 (2011) on January 18, 2012 by Gibson Associates, PA and the Purchasing Board for the Library Demo/Parking Lot Construction Project.

 
City Authorizes Cooperative Agreement - Tuesday, January 24, 2012

January 24, 2012; Resolution NO. 016 (2012) was adopted by City Council, authorizing the City to join the South Jersey Power Cooperative, which will result in the reduction of electricity costs to the City of Sea Isle City.  Savings are anticipated to be $35,000.00.

 
Appointment of Risk Management Consultant - Tuesday, January 10, 2012

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 007 (2012) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open contract for a Risk Management Consultant to Barbara Wiegand, Senior Vice President of Marsh & McLennan Agency.  The anticipated term of this contract shall be from January 10, 2012 thru December 31, 2012.

 
Award of Contract for a Hearing Officer - Tuesday, January 10, 2012

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 005 (2012) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open contract for a Hearing Officer to Michael A. Donahue, Esq., of Blaney & Donahue from Wildwood, New Jersey.  The anticipated term of this contract is for one year and the value of the acquisition will not exceed $17,500.00.

 
Entertainment Performance Agreement Awarded - Tuesday, January 10, 2012

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 010 (2012) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open professional services contract for an Entertainment Performance Agreement to Center Stage Entertainment of Lindenwold, New Jersey.  The anticipated term of this contract is to be for a term of one year, in the amount not to exceed $104,500.00.

Landis Avenue Utility Reconstruction Project Awarded - Tuesday, January 10, 2012

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 003 (2012) was adopted by City Council, authorizing the award of contract for the Landis Avenue Utility Reconstruction Project to F.W. Shawl & Sons of Marmora, New Jersey in the amount of $524,974.08.  Bids for this project were received and accepted on January 4, 2012.  The project scope of work includes 54th Street to 69th Street on Landis Avenue. 

 
Professional Service Contract Awarded for Municipal Engineer - Thursday, December 29, 2011

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 187 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing an award of a non-fair and open professional services contract for the Municipal Engineer to Andrew Previti of Maser Consultants from Marmora, NJ.  The anticipated term of this contract is to be for a term of one year, in the amount not to exceed $75,000.00.

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 192 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing the re-appointments of the following members to the Zoning Board of Adjustments effective January 1, 2012:  Patrick Pasceri and Patricia Urbaczewski for a term of four (4) years, Lou Feola and William McGinn for a term of three (3) years, Audrey Kramer and Gerald Brangenberg for a term of two (2) years, Joseph Morrissey for a term of one (1) year, Daniel E. Organ (Alternate 1) and James Farley (Alternate 2) for a term of two (2) years.

City Supports County Project - Tuesday, December 27, 2011

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 197 (2011) was adopted by City Council, supporting the County of Cape May's project to reconstruct JFK Boulevard from the Sea Isle Bridge to Landis Avenue.  Improvements to the boulevard will provide for increased traffic safety, protection from flood events, improved riding surface and an enhanced streetscape.
