January 24, 2012; Resolution NO. 013 (2012) was adopted by City Council, authorizing the award of contract for the Library Demolition and Parking Lot Construction Project to Ricky Slade Construction, Inc., of Bridgeton, New Jersey in the amount of $200,806.50.  Bids for this project were received and accepted by authorization of Resolution NO. 178 (2011) on January 18, 2012 by Gibson Associates, PA and the Purchasing Board for the Library Demo/Parking Lot Construction Project.

January 24, 2012; Resolution NO. 016 (2012) was adopted by City Council, authorizing the City to join the South Jersey Power Cooperative, which will result in the reduction of electricity costs to the City of Sea Isle City.  Savings are anticipated to be $35,000.00.

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 007 (2012) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open contract for a Risk Management Consultant to Barbara Wiegand, Senior Vice President of Marsh & McLennan Agency.  The anticipated term of this contract shall be from January 10, 2012 thru December 31, 2012.

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 005 (2012) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open contract for a Hearing Officer to Michael A. Donahue, Esq., of Blaney & Donahue from Wildwood, New Jersey.  The anticipated term of this contract is for one year and the value of the acquisition will not exceed $17,500.00.

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 010 (2012) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open professional services contract for an Entertainment Performance Agreement to Center Stage Entertainment of Lindenwold, New Jersey.  The anticipated term of this contract is to be for a term of one year, in the amount not to exceed $104,500.00.

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 006 (2012) was adopted by City Council, officially designating the following newspapers for City publications for the year 2012:  Ocean City Sentinel, The Press of Atlantic City and Gazette Leader.  

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 004 (2012) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open contract for a Hearing Officer to Andrew D. Catanese, Esq., of Monzo Catanese from Cape May Court House, New Jersey.  The anticipated term of this contract is for one year and the value of the acquisition will not exceed $17,500.00.

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 009 (2012) was adopted by City Council authorizing the re-appointment of Deputy City Clerk of the City of Sea Isle City to Shannon D. Romano.

January 10, 2012; Resolution NO. 003 (2012) was adopted by City Council, authorizing the award of contract for the Landis Avenue Utility Reconstruction Project to F.W. Shawl & Sons of Marmora, New Jersey in the amount of $524,974.08.  Bids for this project were received and accepted on January 4, 2012.  The project scope of work includes 54th Street to 69th Street on Landis Avenue. 

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 187 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing an award of a non-fair and open professional services contract for the Municipal Engineer to Andrew Previti of Maser Consultants from Marmora, NJ.  The anticipated term of this contract is to be for a term of one year, in the amount not to exceed $75,000.00.

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 184 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing an award of a non-fair and open professional services contract for Bond Counsel to McManimon & Scotland, LLC., of Newark, New Jersey.  The anticipated term of this contract is for the year of 2012.  

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 192 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing the re-appointments of the following members to the Zoning Board of Adjustments effective January 1, 2012:  Patrick Pasceri and Patricia Urbaczewski for a term of four (4) years, Lou Feola and William McGinn for a term of three (3) years, Audrey Kramer and Gerald Brangenberg for a term of two (2) years, Joseph Morrissey for a term of one (1) year, Daniel E. Organ (Alternate 1) and James Farley (Alternate 2) for a term of two (2) years. 

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 182 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open professional services contract for Engineering/Construction Management Services for the Central Avenue Road and Sewer Reconstruction Project to James S. Griesemer of BCM Engineers from Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania in the amount of $184,980.00.

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 196 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open professional services contract for Engineering/Construction Management Services for the Townsends Inlet Improvement Project to Vincent Orlando of Engineering Design Associates, Inc., from Ocean View, New Jersey in the amount of $8,000.00.

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 204 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open professional services contract for Architectural/Construction Management Services for the Welcome Center Project to Blaine Steinman of Blaine Steinman Architects from Clermont, New Jersey in the amount of $8,000.00.

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 185 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open professional services contract for the Municipal Prosecutor to Thomas Rossi of Strathmere, New Jersey.  The anticipated term of this contract is for one year commencing January 1, 2012 thru December 31, 2012 in the amount of $22,500.00.

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 203 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of contract for the Welcome Center Project to R.Wilkinson & Sons Construction, Inc., from Absecon, NJ in the amount of $853,394.81.

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 186 (2011) was adopted by City Council authorizing the award of a non-fair and open professional services contract for employee benefits insurance and broker consulting services to Mark J. Senior of Marsh & McLennan Agency from Cape May, New Jersey.  The anticipated term of this contract is for one year commencing January 1, 2012 thru December 31, 2012 in the amount of $66,000.00.

December 27, 2011; Resolution NO. 197 (2011) was adopted by City Council, supporting the County of Cape May's project to reconstruct JFK Boulevard from the Sea Isle Bridge to Landis Avenue.  Improvements to the boulevard will provide for increased traffic safety, protection from flood events, improved riding surface and an enhanced streetscape.
