The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory due to a strong storm system approaching Sea Isle City and the surrounding region.
Significant impacts from a strong coastal storm are likely for our area this evening through Friday. Widespread minor coastal flooding, wind gusts up to 50-mph, and local heavy rainfall are likely to affect our area.
Above average coastal flooding is expected this evening, with moderate flooding during the high tide on Thursday afternoon.
Strong easterly winds are expected on Thursday, then strong westerly winds will occur on Friday.
Heavy rain up to three inches will be a factor.
Do not attempt to drive through standing water on the streets, because the wake your vehicle creates can damage nearby properties and gardens -- and salt water can greatly damage or destroy your vehicle.
Please move vehicles to a higher location -- to offshore locations if possible.
Secure any loose belongings and property so they do not become hazards in the roadways.
In case of any Emergency, please dial 9-1-1.
Thank you – and stay safe!
