Storm Alert: Office of Emergency Management

In advance of a low-pressure system affecting our region, the National Weather System has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for the Friday morning’s high tide (December 23), which will occur around 8:00 to 9:00 AM. Minor to moderate tidal flooding is expected at this time.

Heavy rain, which will start Thursday afternoon into Friday morning, may cause flood waters to reach higher levels. For this reason, we ask those who reside/park in low-lying areas to move their vehicles to higher ground, such as the Sea Isle City Library parking lot at 48th Street and Central Avenue.

In addition, high, gusty winds will start Thursday night and continue into Friday, followed by a sharp drop in temperature, which will continue through the weekend.  We ask that you secure any outdoor items or decorations from the high winds and rain -- and be prepared for cold temperatures.

Please do not drive through flood waters, and be careful driving after the temperature drops because the roads may be icy or slick.

Should you need non-emergency police assistance at any time, call 609-263-4311, extension 0.

If you have an emergency, call 911.

Sea Isle City’s Office of Emergency Management wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!
