Kayak Storage

THE 2024 KAYAK STORAGE LOTTERY IS CLOSED AND WINNERS HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED.

There are 112 kayak berths available at the Dealy Field Kayak Storage Facility for the 2024 season. The lottery is only open to year round residents/property owners. Only one berth will be awarded per property/household. Only 1 entry per property/household.  The kayak storage racks are intended for kayak storage only (no other water crafts are permitted), and are for use from May 1 through October 31.

Registrants who are not awarded a berth during the lottery will be added to a numerical waiting list, which will be used if berths become available during the summer season.

Lottery winners will be contacted by e-mail after April 15.  That e-mail will include information about obtaining a required Kayak Identification Tag, which must be attached to every kayak using the storage racks at Dealy Field.  The Recreation Office will begin to distribute Kayak Identification Tags starting May 1.

*New for 2024. There will be a $75 fee per season for kayak lottery winners. Payments can be made at seaislerec.recdesk.com or bring payment (cash or check) to the Recreation Office at Dealy Field. Winter hours for the office is from 9 to 4 Monday thru Friday. From Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend the office is open 7 days a week from 9 to 4. NO REFUNDS. Please be aware that all payments must be made by May 31, 2024 or your Kayak Rack will be given to a person on our Kayak Rack waitlist.

For questions, please phone the City’s Recreation Office at 609-263-6163 or 609-263-0050.

A Reminder to Kayakers:  Kayaks or other equipment illegally locked to a fence or left in any other public area (other than a designated kayak berth) will be impounded by the City. All kayaks stored in the City’s storage berths must be stored upside-down to avoid filling with water.  Kayak owners will be responsible for supplying their own locking system to secure their kayak to their designated berth.
